Government Announces Coronavirus Vaccines For All Above 18: Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mira Rajput, Malaika Arora, Ananya Panday And Others Welcome The Decision
For a few months, the Coronavirus vaccination was being provided to senior citizens. Later, citizens above the age of 45 were provided with the vaccination. Now, in the next leg, the Government has announced that all the citizens who are above the age of 18 will be provided with the vaccination. Many celebrities like Malaika Arora, Mira Rajput Kapoor, Sona Mohapatra and others took to their respective social media accounts to hail this decision.

Singer Sona Mohapatra called it the best news and wrote, "I just read that 18 plus years to be eligible for vaccination from May 1, 2021. #BestNews . #India #WeShallOvercome #COVID19." Ananya Panday and Mira Rajput Kapoor shared the screenshot of the news and spread awareness. Malaika Arora also shared the news and wrote, "Let's do this India."

Filmmaker Anubhav Sinha joked that from 1st May people have to do jugaad for vaccines. "चलो अब May1 से जुगाड़ लगाओ vaccine का।" he wrote. Filmmaker Ronnie Screwvala wrote, "Excellent news that all above 18 can get vaccinated Thumbs up. But all our young Indians do remember this vaccination is not making us SuperMan or IronMan - just SaferMan !! Got the point Thumbs up. We still need to mask up and be super careful - long journey ahead."

While making the announcement, a statement by the Government read, "a liberalised and accelerated Phase 3 strategy of COVID-19 vaccination". PM Narendra Modi also stressed, "Government has been working hard from over a year to ensure that maximum numbers of Indians are able to get the vaccine in the shortest possible of time."
